The Blackwater is entirely associa-tion controlled with no opportunities for ticket fishing. Rising near Bocking, the river flows via Maldon to form a large estuary before entering the North Sea. It is coarse fishing with roach, bream, dace and perch the main species encountered.
Main associations with fishing on this river are Maldon AS, Brain-tree and Bocking AS, and Kelvedon and District AA. For membership possibilities, enquire of secretaries.
