Rising north of Altnaharra, the Borgie drops down in Loch Loyal, through some more minor lochs and then into the sea a mile west of the Naver estuary. The Borgie does have a run of spring salmon, some say the most westerly of such. It has not been prolific in recent seasons and the best sport must be expected in the summer and autumn. It also offers trout. Loch Loyal, through which the Borgie flows, has a reputation for ferox, the large cannibal brown trout found in many Highland lochs. Though there seems some chance of access through association and hotels, no specific details are available.
