Coquet

The Coquet is the best known salmon river in the North East. It rises in the Cheviot Hills and enters the North Sea at Warkworth. For visitors, access is difficult if not impossible. Most of the fishing is controlled by the Northumbrian Anglers’ Federation, membership of which is open only to those who live north of the River Tyne. Hotels and inns in the area may be able to help.
