This river finds its source in Carron Valley, reservoir from where it flows due west across Stirlingshire to enter Loch Lomond below Drymen. It offers trout, sea trout and salmon with coarse fish, especially roach, being found near its entry to the loch, a place where some spectacular catches have been made and a favourite spot for pike anglers. Association season tickets offer the only chance for visitors. See also Loch Lomond in Still Water section.
