Beeston Canal

This short canal, also known as the Beeston Cut, was constructed to avoid an unnavigable section of the Trent. It begins at Beeston lock and flows into Nottingham to terminate at Lenton Chain where the Nottingham Canal took over the job of taking boats on and back to the Trent at Meadow Lane lock. It is coarse fishing with roach the dominant species. Some access for visitors.
